2JZ SEXY

Two sequences from some Tsukuba Sexy Knights Action!

FD2JZ

2Jz into FD3s = insane drift on the limit!

I don't care if you are a die hard rotary fan. If you can't open your mind and enjoy this, then you are hard to please indeed. Definitely my favourite car at the Mazda Tuning Festa 2012.

While I'm not the biggest fan of itaishya amine styling, there's soo much going on with this beast that you can't help but enjoy something about it.

Or the great driving that goes with the sexy nights style. Excuse some shots... I want you to see a lot so I haven't limited my shots to two or three.

Mazda Tuning Festa 2012 - Suzuki FC

That crazy man Suzuki in his crazier FC.

Drift cars don't last long. They eventually get re-shelled and the successful components transplanted.  The cool pieces from the last FC3s have found their way onto this FC3c.

The shell is not a hack job. It's actually pretty straight and clean.

Mazda Tuning Festa 2012 - Mocomans Twin

I think readers of my website understand it... and I think the guys from Mocomans know it. If you are going to drive an FD. You can't be subtle.

I handed out a couple of stickers to these guys last year. and they were proudly running them today. Pretty stoked actually. This street legal drift FD is pretty special.

The owner of this car loves the shots I took last time before this car was tainted during some passionate drifting. So this year it new wears some new panels, new color and some pretty cool features.

Mazda Tuning Festa 2012 - R U Ready

Mazda Tuning Festa was a long day. It takes a while to get set up.

Everyone arrived pretty early and there were already cars on track by the time I arrived about 8am. This face needs no introduction. The car behind also monumental.

Koseki-san (left) was also getting things ready to go.

Taniguchi firing the 20B turbo in the Super Greddy into life.

Suenaga was also ready to go for some drift action. A few sets of neova's will be ready to be trash by the end of the day.

while some cars wouldn't move, they would look their best all day.

13B PP with T88 attracts attention... as does monster camber.

Got ground clearance... Ummm. NO!

A few tweaks to get things going and keep them going.

Some Pan Speed tweaks here.

before heading out. I like cars that turn heads. Suzuki's FC certainly does that.

Mazda Tuning Festa 2012 - Preview

Mazda Tuning Festa 2012. Another 7's day event that was amazing. This event continues to be fun and produces some excitement in many forms.

If time attack is your thing. There's plenty of that.

Maybe an appreciation of the older models and a chat with some privateers.

in the pits, or on track, you don't have to look far to find some coolness. Young guys and old.

Legends are everywhere.

Some more suited to tracks other than Tsukuba.

Maybe drift is your style ...

... or street tune.

There is something for everyone.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - Bucky Nats

Yep it's an FD from those nutty students at the NATS school.

I saw this roof profile from a distance... I thought. "Wow! something new...!"

Even the side view looked promising.

Then I got closer and started looking... Eh? I wasn't sure what to think.

Ancient skyline tail lights.

How can you not laugh. You can't take school too seriously. Maybe it'll be in a parade one day.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - SGC D1 7

RE-Amemiya and SGC have had a strong relationship for a few years. It came from Super GT but extended to Drift.

This is the second D1 car transformed into the M7 Replica (note blue interior) that now wears Singapore Changi Motorsports complex livery. D1 & Imamura actually run these colors since the black FD was retired.

Since my rendering of a possible Rauh-Welt FD3s with Porsche frontal styling I've been a bit fascinated with this beast.

The reason being these front fenders would be required to accommodate any massive wheel combo.

The drift machine uses the AC037 body kit + these fender extensions as the relatively low offset wheels are fitted with crazy drift knuckles and lower arms that really widen the track a lot. Steering is also effected for quick response at maximum angle.

At the rear, the curves continue to form something ....

Sexier?

Yes, definitely!

The SGC girls are quite the distraction.

Sometimes that's a good thing, because the rear of the D1 cars really aren't good.

at least the horrendous rear centre exhaust housing has been cut away for tyre smoke to exit.

These cars produced by RE-Amemiya are polarizing designs that express the wild image that is D1.

Details are everywhere on this car as you would expect. Built to Drift.
